Book Haul: March 2017

I actually didn’t expect to buy so many books this month but whenever I go on amazon or bookdepository I get so tempted. You know how it is. ๐Ÿ˜€

I’ve been considering buying these books for quite some time and when I was browsing for what to buy I went for it. I actually liked the paperbacks of these more than the hardcovers.

They’re very much on my radar at the moment and Swetlana may or may not have persuaded me to start this Trilogy after reading Winter (which I’m currently reading).

Victoria Schwab seems like such a great author and writer! I can’t wait to dive in.

grisha1After I had finished reading two of Leigh Bardugo’s books I wanted more so of courseย buying The Grisha Trilogy was exactly what I did. During SOC and CK, I kinda fell in love with it which made me want to more about Grisha’s and their world.

It tells the Story of a very powerful Grisha who discovers her powers trying to save her best friend which gets her tangled up in the world of Ravka and the Shadow Fold. They were briefly mentioned in SOC in regards to Nina Zenik and her abilities but also with Jesper Fahey struggling to figure out whether or not he wants to go to Ravka.

I feel like as someone who has recently become a huge fan of Leigh’s writing I’m really going to enjoy these books.

What can I say about this book? Have I been wanting to read it for so long too? YES. Have I been hearing great things about it? YEES!

I’ve really enjoyed both of the movie adaptions of his books so they inspired me to finally pick this one up! The way the movies told the story really made me fall in love with it. The creatures and different people Alice meets are so quirky and funny it’s fun to watch them.

Plus, isn’t that a beautiful edition that puffin did? I love these illustrations!

tlc01These two books serve to complete my collection of the entire series (in Hardcover). But also getting to know more about Queen Levana and what makes her tick makes me want to pick up Fairest right away but I’m going to wait until after I read every book in this series (the last one being Winter).

Stars Above is a collection of stories about the characters which will reveal even more information and things that aren’t mentioned in the series.

Marissa Meyer is a great author so I’m sure I’ll enjoy these.

That is all for this month! I’m wrapping it up with a total of 9 books added to my shelves. We’ll see what number I’ll end up with in April.

What books have you bought this month?

  1. Ooh SO much awesome in this post. ๐Ÿ˜ The Shades of London series is probably one of my top favourites in all of ever, so I’m really glad you’re going to try it!! And YES to the Grisha books! I prefer the SoC duology, but basically anything Leigh writes = I need it. ๐Ÿ˜‚
