Blogmas Day 12: WinterWonderWichteln Reveal

Good evening you guys and welcome to the final day of Blogmas 2017! I am still pretty shocked at how quickly this month (and year, let’s be honest) went by! And for today’s post, I will be revealing the package I got sent as part of a Christmas gift exchange with a bunch of German bloggers that I signed up to in early November.

My package arrived the first week of December and I pretty much had to use all my willpower not to open it before the 24th which was so difficult. I am way too impatient and curious about these kinds of things! But the day finally came and I was able to unpack all of my gifts today! So, here’s what I got – I have to say, I got so spoiled.

We each filled out a little form with information about the things we enjoyed and I had put on mine that I really like Haribo so opening the box to find a ton of it in there was the first highlight of this package! And there is so much of it, that I will be sharing it with my siblings once I go over to my parents’ for Christmas Eve dinner today! I’m sure they’ll appreciate it as much as I did!

After getting out all the little packages I was really quite surprised at how many I found in there and with how much love they were all wrapped! I’d actually seen the person who sent me this package tweet about her wrapping up present number 3 in the picture above and I was so amazed at how much effort she put into it! Honestly, I didn’t want to open the packages because they were wrapped so nicely and with such cute paper!

As all the presents were numbered, I, of course, went in the order that was laid out for me and it was so much fun to see what was inside all of these little gifts and I might have made some squealing noises here and there while opening certain packages – I let you guess what had me squeal the loudest once you see everything that was included in my gift. I promise it’s going to be an easy guess!

I now have a really nice amount of both Haribo sweets to enjoy whenever I feel like having something sweet but also a ton of chocolate. All of which I have never tried before so I’m really curious to taste them later today!

But of course, if you know me (or follow me on Instagram and see my Insta-stories) you know that I love to drink coffee. And I got a bunch of little coffee packages which I will try these next few days – I might even have one later today to test the heat changing mug I got! And it’s an Avengers mug. Guys, an Avengers mug.

And then I also got some decorative washi tape that I can’t wait to use in my bullet journal come 2018! Not that I don’t already have enough of it, I do. But who doesn’t enjoy a great variety of washi?!

We were each supposed to name a few books we would really like to receive and the person who would send us our package would be able to pick which book to send. And of course, I had put Simon VS The Homo Sapiens Agenda as one of the books on my list because I just absolutely love it and I only had the audiobook up until now. When I opened the package that had Simon VS in it I very quickly spotted the red cover and I made a noise that is a bit embarrassing but oh well. It’s not like anyone saw or heard me, so it’s all good!

I had originally thought about mentioning Simon VS as a fandom I really enjoyed to give the person another hint as to what book I would love to receive but then I figured that would take away the surprise for me so I just listed four different books (the two pictured above plus Warcross and Tower Of Dawn (I think)) and waited to see what I would get.

And honestly, I couldn’t be more excited about the books I got! We’ve talked about my love for Simon VS more than enough and I think it’s no surprise that I really love Leigh Bardugo so obviously I was stoked to receive Wonder Woman too! Now my Leigh collection is almost complete!

Honestly, I have no words for how happy this package made me and the time and effort that was put into it for me! I absolutely loved my experience with this gift exchange and really hope there is something similar next year too because I am definitely signing up again!

I really hope you guys have the most fantastic time with the people you love this holiday season! May your bellies be filled with all the good food (I know I’m already looking forward to dinner tonight), your hearts with so much love, joy and happiness and your arms with the gifts you wished for!
