Current Favorites

Morning you guys! I hope you’re all having a fantastic day (or, had a fantastic day depending on when you’re reading this post!) and haven’t been up since 1am because what is a proper night’s sleep right? When your body can decide to take a ‘nap’ instead? I mean, it’s not like I wanted to actually get a full night’s sleep when I fell asleep while watching Guardians Of The Galaxy?

But yeah, enough about that. What I actually wanted to talk to you guys about for today’s post are some of the things I am currently loving so, let’s just jump right in, shall we?

Sebastian Stan

You guys are probably aware that the Marvel cast is currently on a huge press tour to promote Avengers: Infinity War (which HOLY SHIT I can’t wait to watch that movie!), right? Yeah, so… a couple of days ago I randomly fell down this hole and I haven’t been able to climb back out again? And said hole is anything and everything Sebastian Stan related. If you follow me over on Twitter you’ve probably heard all about this already because I just won’t shut up about it.

I mean, LOOK at this ‘broken white boy’ aka what Shuri calls Bucky in Black Panther apparently.

See, you guys on here probably know me as this really calm and collected person 99% of the time but oh boy, if you follow me on Twitter you’ve seen my fangirl side a lot more because that’s where that really comes out. But also, I haven’t been in this intense of a fangirl mode for probably at least 8 or more months? When I lost it entirely over Matthew Daddario. That’s basically where I’m at right now.

And I don’t think anyone could blame me, really? Sebastian Stan is the most precious human being ever and he just makes my heart burst with so much love for him? I’ve been down the YouTube rabbit hole quite a bit watching old and new interviews he’s done (if you have the time or need a pick me up – check out ANY of the press him and Anthony Mackie did for Civil War) and the more I watch the more in love with him I fall.

Speaking of Mackie and Sebastian’s interviews, these interviews they did with Winston Duke are HILARIOUS too. Highly recommend!

But the thing is, my brain goes from ‘Oh my god he is the most precious human being! I love him!’ to a more thirsty (let’s put it that way) train of thought way too quickly in certain interview situations and it’s kind of hilarious to watch myself go through all of that daily.

THIS right here was too much. I mean, we’ve got Mr. Hemsworth right there and then to top it all of Sebastian is doing ALL OF THAT.

Okay, wow. We’ll just move right along now because I might fall down that hole again otherwise and I should get this post written first. *hears Tumblr calling me*

Solo One Direction Music

If you’ve been following me for a while, you probably know that I really love One Direction (yes, I am a woman in my late 20s who still loves One Direction) but I almost love their solo projects even more – well, minus Harry. His music kind of isn’t really my cup of tea.

I’m pretty sure I shared another favorites post not too long ago but I can’t find it anywhere on my blog so I must’ve deleted it… but yeah, I am a big music lover. In fact, the only times I don’t listen to music is when I’m sleeping or listening to an audiobook. Other than that, I pretty much always have my music turned on.

And more recently I’ve really been enjoying the solo music the One Direction members have been bringing out (I’m including Zayn here, even though he isn’t a member anymore) and I can’t wait to (hopefully soon) listen to solo albums by both Liam and Louis! Those two did so much of the writing for One Direction that I need to know what an entire album by each of them would sound like!

Yes, they’ve both released a fair share of music already, but I want an album already. It’s been too freaking long. And speaking of albums! Niall’s Flicker. Oh my god. That album is so, so good. And he seems to be doing pretty freaking well and my heart just swells with so much pride for him!

Tumblr

A couple of years ago, I was really into Tumblr. I would spend almost as much time on there as I have been spending on creating and running this blog. Or wait, probably a lot more. During my height of being an active fangirl, I would spend most of my time outside of school on there and just reblog alllllll the things of whatever I was loving at the time. I still have my Tumblr account and have actually started using it more actively again these past few days and I am loving it. A lot.

I feel like Tumblr really gives you a chronological view of what I was really, really loving at any given point in time. There was a time period of about 2-ish years were all I talked about was One Direction and it was glorious, not gonna lie.

The main reason why I got back into it was probably the earlier mentioned love for Sebastian Stan because there was just so much content to consume for me? And how could I not jump on that? But then I also randomly ended up talking to a fellow Shadowhunters fan for like 2 hours the first night I was actively on Tumblr again and even though we didn’t really know each other and had never talked before, talking was just so easy. That’s one thing I will forever appreciate and love about fandom: you can strike up a conversation so easily with someone who loves the same thing as you.

I mean, isn’t that why we’re all here too? Talking about books and hoping to talk about them with fellow bookworms?

Leah On The Offbeat

Actually, I wasn’t going to mention this book again until I would post my review in May but then as I was writing this post I realized that there is no way I can NOT include this book here. I mean, this is a current favorite. A book about a character I love with my entire heart and it just released in the US yesterday (SO PLEASE, IF YOU CAN: GET YOURSELF A COPY OF THIS BOOK) and we all want this book to succeed and be as loved and appreciated as Simon VS The Homo Sapiens Agenda, so please. Show your support.

But yes, this book. Oh, how I love it! I mentioned this on Instagram too, but I honestly sometimes felt like Becky was talking about me in this book. It was almost like she took a look inside my brain and put it to paper in the form of Leah and oh my god. I was hoping to see myself this way in Molly but that never happened but then in walks Leah and just completely sweeps me off my feet with how much I see myself in a lot of her.

I’m actually planning on rereading (probably) both Simon VS and Leah On The Offbeat for my review because I flew through Leah during my first read and I am already super looking forward to it!

My Bullet Journal

Like with Leah On The Offbeat, I feel like this post wouldn’t be complete without me mentioning my bullet journal here!

I’ve given bullet journaling quite a few tries and it never really quite stuck with me until the beginning of 2018 and it’s been going strong ever since! I adore getting to update my spreads daily and just having this one space where I can combine so much while still keeping it organized and easy to navigate. And I’m about to set up my spreads for next month so that will be super fun too! I love getting a fresh start like that each month. 😀
