Update: Brand New Look // I Got To Impatient To Wait Any Longer

Good evening you guys and welcome to the brand new The Caffeinated Bookworm Life!

For the past couple of days, I’ve been working on new designs for the blog because I was starting to get tired of my previous theme and I wanted to do my best to get ahead of possibly finding myself in a blogging slump because I didn’t want to even look at my own blog anymore. Plus, with summer right around the corner, I felt like it was time for a more fun and colorful look – what do you guys think?

I was actually going to wait a bit longer until I shared this new look but then I wrote the review that’s going up on Monday using all the new images and figured it’s easier to just update the theme instead of going back into the review and changing up all of the images. I mean, I’ve been pretty impatiently waiting to share the look with everyone so why not just go for it, right?

As you can see, I updated the sidebar images and created little icons for my social media links and I love the simple look of it SO much. You’ll also be seeing a good deal of new images that I’ll be using for reviews and just in my posts in general as time progresses. And maybe the most exciting thing (at least for me) are the new feature images which are going to vary depending on the type of post that’s going up!

For example, as you saw above this is what my feature image for discussion type of posts is going to look like in the future

I’m hoping that by doing them all differently, you guys will be able to tell exactly what kind of post is waiting for you once you come on over to my blog (which, I hope that’s where you’re reading this post from or you’re not getting the full experience!). And yes, that is a sneak peek at the review going up on Monday! 😉 I figured as someone who really enjoys seeing a rating right on the feature image (Caro always does this, for example) it was about time I started showing my ratings upfront too. This way you guys also know what kind of review to expect. 🙂

I don’t actually want to ramble on for much longer, because there really isn’t that much more to say other than I hope you guys enjoy the new theme as much as I do – if there are any difficulties on you guys’ end, please let me know so I can try to fix it!

Now, obviously, I am super curious to hear what you guys think of the new design so please share any kind of feedback you have for me! For now, everything feels pretty final but I wouldn’t say no to making tweaks here and there as I use these images more often so if there’s anything you guys think I could improve on, please let me know! 🙂
