Bullet Journaling 101: June Set-Up 2018

Good morning you guys, I hope you’ve had a nice start to your day! πŸ™‚

I figured I would try to get back into blogging by writing a post I absolutely LOVE to share: my Bullet Journaling 101 series! And seeing how we’re over a week into June already (which, I’m sorry! I wish I had set this up and shared it sooner, but I’m still on some sort of break as of writing this post) I figured it’s about time!

And actually, I had SO much fun setting up this month’s theme – especially because it’s quite different to what I’ve been doing the past couple of months. I have to say, this might be my favorite theme I’ve ever had! And I finally ended up using that washi tape! I’ve been looking at it for months now (I bought it a couple of months ago at Lidl – of all places!), trying to find a way to use it – and this was just perfect.

Up first, let’s take a look at my cover page which I’m so in love with??? You might’ve seen a version of this on Twitter or Instagram stories (or you know if you haven’t yet, you should 100% follow me πŸ˜‰ ). Also, I think I might have just caused myself a bit of a problem by using washi here because now I want even more washi (update: I got more washi!)Β that I can use for upcoming months. *wallet= 😭😭😭*

I’m usually also not the biggest doodler but I figured I would try something different this month and while I’m not 100% happy with the way the laptop turned out, I really like the little camera and book stack up at the top!

The next thing I like to set up is usually my month at a glance with the new releases listed underneath (which I completely forgot to add 🀦🀦🀦) so it’s easy to check off and keep track off! Usually, this would be on the same page as my cover page, but that wasn’t the case this month, so I left the page next to it blank for a to-do list as the following spreads needing to be on two pages next to each other. πŸ™‚

And because I really like the system I have going at the moment, the next spread that I set up was for me to keep track of my blog posts and how they do for the month of June. Also, this is hopefully going to make me plan a bit more again as I’ve fallen off that bandwagon too quickly after my last blogging break.Β Honestly, you’d think I’d have learned my lesson by now but apparently not. 🀦🀦🀦

This time around, I also played with color a bit more in each individual spread and I have to say, I quite enjoy it! Usually, I’d just add the date in the month’s color but as you can see, I also highlighted the days that a post is supposed to go up. Plus, all that washi.

And now!!! You guys. I actually changed up a spread??? I kept seeing both booksandlala and lottelikesbooks‘ monthly reading trackers and I really liked the look of them – especially Lotte’s so I decided to finally give it a try too. But, since I often listen to audiobooks or read ebooks, I decided to track how much of a book I read each day (in percent).

While I absolutely loved my previous tracker, it often looked a bit messy by the end of the month (click here for my May one that I shared on Twitter) so I’m hoping that this is going to help keep things more organized looking!

But also, change is good, right? So hopefully by just changing up one little spread, it’s going to keep me motivated to try more in the future and more important to stick to bullet journaling! πŸ™‚

Lastly, obviously, we have my monthly habit tracker! I can’t believe I am still actively using this each month! Though, to be honest, I kind of fell off the tracking wagon the last couple of days of May, but as you can see here, I’m back to it again already. πŸ™‚

I don’t know if I’ve mentioned this before, but I absolutely love to separate my tracker into weeks each month. I feel like it puts less pressure on me to keep doing all the things and gives me a fresh start each week to do better. So if that’s something you might be struggling with, maybe give this a try! πŸ™‚

And that’s pretty much the last page that I have currently set up in my journal for the month of June! You might remember that I also use this to journal in, whenever I feel like it (which didn’t really happen in May, oops!) so that’s what I could add next or maybe some of the collections I want to put into my journal. Or anything, really. The possibilities are limitless! πŸ˜€

How about you guys? Have you set up your June spreads yet? Or were you too busy to get to it yet? If you’ve got them set up, did you share them anywhere? I’d love to see what you guys come up with!

  1. I just started a new bullet journal a few weeks ago since my previous one was pretty short it. I’m still figuring out how I want my spreads to be, honestly, so I probably won’t be posting any from this month. They’re too inconsistent and messy so far for my taste.
Personally, I don’t mind the kind of paper that I use as long as the lines (if there are lines or squares or dots, as long as it’s not blank) aren’t very dark and the paper is thick enough for my pens. Washi tape is the best, I have like 12 rolls and I’d have more if they were cheaper!

    1. I didn’t share my spreads for the longest time either, Rafaela! I’ve been using a bullet journal for almost 2 years and just recently started sharing it with people. πŸ™‚

Oh, I always go for the cheap washi tape that those dollar store type of stores sell and I haven’t had any problems with it so far. πŸ™‚

  2. One of my favorite type of posts is back!! 😍 😍 😍 (I love all your posts, but you know what I mean :D) I’ve always loved your bullet journal (I mean you successfully got me addicted as well), but this month spreads look so good omg I’m very jealous and inspired by them at the same time 😱 I think I definitely need some washi tape as well (where did you get yours?) and maybe try out drawing as well, even if I’m not the best at it πŸ˜‚ I also love how you changed your habit tracker a bit and separated it by week, that’s such a cool idea! 😍
