Happy Wednesday, everyone! Do you guys ever see everyone doing a certain tag over and over again and think to yourself ‘I want to do that one too!’ but then when you check your blogging schedule for when you could post it you realize there’s no actual room?
Well, luckily for all of us, I had room for the End Of The Year book tag because I’ve been quite focused on blogmas content and almost forgot that there was another posting day before December 1st. xD
1. Are there any books you started this year you need to finish?

There is, kind of surprisingly! I started listening to the audiobook of the final Magnus Chase book months ago and somehow I keep pushing it to the back and reading other books instead, but I do want to finish it before the end of 2018. I mean, I only have about 40% left so it should be manageable, especially since I want to start into 2019 with a clean slate!
And it’s not even that I’m not enjoying this book or anything, I absolutely do. But with some of the big releases that came out in the past few weeks, those got pushed to the front. One more big release and then I’ve got all the time and dedication to give this book.
2. Do you have an autumnal book to transition to the end of the year?
I don’t really do seasonal reading? I mean, unless we count me rereading Six Of Crows towards the end of autumn? But other than that, no. I read whatever I feel like in the moment 98% of the time.
3. Is there a new release you’re still waiting for?

Oh, I don’t know.. Let me think about it.
Of course there is! And it’s a book I’ve been waiting for since the previous book in the trilogy ended with the cruelest cliffhanger ever. I haven’t been okay since. And then they kept pushing the release back. And back. It was two years at some point. Two years of agony for all of us.
BUT! In just 6 days we will finally find out how things continue and what on earth happens that’s going to change the Shadowhunter world forever. Like, that’s one omnious fucking statement. Also, the POV of the epilogue isn’t exactly comforting either.
4. What are three books you want to read before the end of the year?

The only ones I know for sure I’ll read are Lord Of Shadows and Queen Of Air And Darkness because I am doing my very best not to get spoiled in any ways possible for that finale. I was lucky with Kingdom Of Ash. I am not risking it here. xD
But other than that, I don’t really have any plans? I’ve said this a ton of times before but I don’t really make plans when it comes to my reading because that’ll often lead to me not reading what I want to read. It’s a vicious cycle. *knocks on wood*
5. Is there a book that you think could still shock you and become your FAVORITE???
See, the thing is: I don’t know what I’ll read other than the two books i just mentioned and I wouldn’t be shocked if Queen Of Air And Darkness ended up on my favorites list (in fact, I am pushing my Best Of post as far back as I can for blogmas to give me time to read QOAAD, that’s how certain I am it’ll end up on that list) – the opposite would shock me. I don’t need a repeat of A Court Of Wings And Ruin.
6. Have you already made reading plans for 2019?
I haven’t yet, but it’s on my to-do list for the next couple of days! I really enjoyed having reading goals/plans for this year and it’s something I’m 100% taking into 2019 too!
Though, just thinking about my goals for 2018, I think I need to be more specific about some goals – especially anything related to unread books as I failed quite miserably as far as that book is concerned. xD
However! I did read every book I bought this year – it was more how bad I was with review copies and getting to them on time. That’s 100% something I need to work on for 2019. I need a better system.

I don’t think I’ll be tagging anyone for today’s post, but if you want to do this too, go ahead! I’d love if you did a pingback so I can check out your post too though! 😀
And now I want to know about some upcoming releases you guys are desperately waiting for, what books you think might still surprise you and if you’ve made any reading plans for 2019! Let’s chat about it in the comments down below – I’ll be there waiting. 🙂

Great answers for this tag, although I can’t believe I’m already seeing End of the Year book tags in my reader feed. It still feels like we should have loads of 2018 left to go! 😀
Queen of Air and Darkness is a release I can’t wait for, despite the fact that I still have to read the first two in new trilogy and the second half of the Mortal Instrument books! I’ll get around to them soon but the hype for the last book is so intense I can’t help but be swept away by it. 🙂

You’ve got quite a bit ahead of you then! I’m over here counting the days and hoping my copy arrives somewhat on time. xD

That’s awesome you’ve read every book you bought this year! That’s a goal I wish to complete one day lol 🙂

The only way that even happened was because I put myself on quite the book buying ban. xD I basically bought 5-8 books this year and they were all highly anticipated releases so I read them pretty much as soon as I got my hands on them! 😀

Nice! I need to try that sometime 🙂

Lovely answers for this! ❤ I'm always doing my best to read every book I buy or at least most of them before getting new ones, unread books on my shelves just makes me so, so very sad haha.
I'm anticipating SO many books this 2019, I'm eager to read We Set The Dark On Fire, Opposite of Always, You Asked For Perfect, The Gilded Wolves, You'd Be Mine… SO MANY BOOKS haha 🙂

I’m usually pretty bad about getting to the books I buy in a timely manner (especially books from years ago… they’re still sitting on my shelves unread…) but I’m proud of myself for this year!
I haven’t head of any of those books other than The Gilded Wolves! :O I have a feeling my TBR might grow quite a bit once I check them out!

Oh that’s a great Tag, I did it last year 💗 Omg Swetlana, finish The Ship of the Dead 😂 I’m glad to hear that you are enjoying it though, you can do it 😄 I really need to be more specific with some goals for next year, but I mostly plan to not do a lot of challenges and stick with those that I truly like, as this year’s reading goals have not been that exciting after a few months 😅

I want to! But like, with Kingdom Of Ash and now Queen Of Air And Darkness I’m basically focusing on those series/universes first. xD
Yeah, i feel like my goals might look quite a bit like the ones I had for 2018 mostly because they worked really well for the majority of the goals!
