8 Things To Do This Holiday Season // Blogmas Day 5

Remember how I promised you guys it would get super festive on the blog this month? Well, today’s post is definitely delivering on that promise!

When I first mentioned wanting to do blogmas, Caro and I decided to do a collaborative post as we both really love Christmas and we’re both doing some variation of blogmas so it seemed perfect.

Caro and I created a list of 16 different things you guys can do to get in the festive mood this month including a ton of things we love to do ourselves too.

So, let’s hop into this post and make sure you check out Caro’s post too for even more festive goodness!

Have A Pamper Night

One of my absolute favorite things to do is have a nice pampering session. Take a long, hot shower. Exfoliate. Shave my legs. The full program. And with how stressful the holiday season can be, why not make it a point to take extra good care of yourself? Doesn’t Chandler look like he’s having the best time? He even got some bubbly and candles going on!

Do Lots Of Baking

2018 has basically been the year that I’ve done the most baking – ever. I’ve tried quite a few new recipes (mostly cupcakes) and gotten myself some utensils to make baking easier and I can’t wait to bake some Christmas cookies! I’ve been looking for recipes on Pinterest for weeks now. I might have to warn my family though, they’ll have to help eat all those cookies!

Have A Christmas Movie Marathon

What’s Christmas without a good Christmas movie marathon? Nothing. That’s what it is.

Netflix has been suggesting a ton of movies to me already and I can’t wait to make my way through some/most of them in the upcoming weeks! We all have our go-to movies, right? For me, Christmas isn’t quite complete without Home Alone. I’ve been watching it for so many years now!

Put Up Your Decorations

Here’s what happens when you can’t find the perfect gif to use but then remember that One Direction did this. xD I mean, it fits, right?

Anyways. I’ve always been the annoying child who asks to put up the Christmas decorations as soon as November is over. and if it was up to me, that’s when the tree would be bought too, but where I live they don’t sell real trees until around the 14th of December. Ridiculous. However, now that I live on my own, my tree’s been up for almost two weeks by the time this post goes up (it’s a plastic one) and I’ve loved every second of it.

Spend Time With People You Love

I think it’s no secret that I love spending time with my family – even more so when it involves baby cuddles. And with the holidays and the get-togethers, you’re probably going to have, enjoy that time with the people you love! And it doesn’t have to be (just) family! Friends count just as much. Family is who you decide on!

Take Walks In The Cold Air

Is there anything more awesome than a sunny, cold winter day? And if there’s snow laying on the ground? That’s basically what heaven looks like. As someone who has to do quite a lot of walking whenever I need something, I have quite specific requirements for me to go outside just for fun. Snow is at the very top of that list. I’ve already started hoping for some snow this year!

We did get some the other day (but it didn’t stick or anything) and I was this close to going on a walk but I had to get dinner started as it was getting quite late already. But I did stop and just stare at the snow for a bit.

Enjoy Your Advent Calendar(s)

Christmas and advent calendars mean you get to eat a piece of chocolate first thing every morning and no one looks at you funny. What a time. What a time! But, make sure you’re actually eating one piece per day! ๐Ÿ˜‰

This reminds me that I still need to buy a chocolate advent calendar. Damn it! xD Good thing I’m so organized!

How about you guys? What are some of your favorite things to do during the holiday season? Do you have any fun traditions? Let me know in the comments down below and make sure you check out Caro‘s list too for eight more things to do this holiday season!

  1. I loved doing this collab with you, I’m very much in the mood for all the festive activities this season!! โค I loove doing all the things you mentioned, which is the reason I love the festive Season so much! I definitely love to pamper myself as well, just take a hot bath and then use some lotion as my skin is always so dry.

I love baking, but sadly haven’t been doing it as much, as I don’t have an oven in my flat ๐Ÿ˜ญ I always get very hungry when I hear that you’re baking something, as it always looks SO delicious! ๐Ÿ˜ I also love Christmas movies, and this year I have finally watched Home Alone for the first time, as I have never seen it before! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

I am very jealous that you had even a bit of snow, as we didn’t have any ๐Ÿ˜ญ But I did see some car roofs covered in snow, as a lot of people commute from higher places that are more likely to get snow
I really look forward to opening all my advent calendars, as I treat myself to several ones: always chocolate and this one I also have one with baking recipes, which I think you’d like ๐Ÿ˜„
