Hey you guys! For today’s post, I wanted to keep it rather quick as I wanted to announce a fun series of posts that are going to be happening on the blog starting on December 2nd and ending on the 24th – or, Christmas Eve!
I’ve seen a lot of people in the YouTube community talking about doing some sort of Christmas related content in December, be it vlogmas (which I have to tell you guys, I am so excited to watch especially Zoella’s content! She loves Christmas so much and I always find myself looking forward to her vlogmas the most!) or bookmas! And so I figured I’d join and do 12 Days Of Blogmas!
Usually, it’s 12 straight days of content going up on whatever platform you choose, but I didn’t want to throw that many posts at you guys in such a small amount of time, so I’ll continue with my schedule of posting every other day starting on the 2nd (as I stated at the beginning)! I would absolutely love it if you guys joined me for all or some of these topics and linked back via a pingback so I can read you guys’ posts too and take a look at your bookish year in review – which is what a lot of these posts are going to be about!
I love being able to see what I read in the past year and how I felt about different books, so I figured taking the days leading up to Christmas to take a look back would be fantastic! But don’t worry – there’s no pressure to do exactly the same amount of books as the day would suggest!
Okay, before I ramble on, let’s just talk about the prompts for each day! So, here we go:
- Day One: A Love Letter To Your Favorite Book Of The Year
- Day Two: 2 Returning Favorites (A Reread you loved as much as you did before)
- Day Three: Top 3 Young Adult Debuts
- Day Four: Top 4 Sequels and/or Series Finales
- Day Five: Top 5 New To You Authors
- Day Six: 6 Disappointing Reads (because I’m sure we’ve all read books this year we wish we would’ve loved more)
- Day Seven: Top 7 Books You Want To Read In 2018 (books that were released before 2018)
- Day Eight: Top 8 Anticipated 2018 Releases
- Day Nine: Top 9 2017 Covers You Absolutely Adored
- Day Ten: Top 10 Books You Would Love To Find Under The Christmas Tree
- Day Eleven: Top 11 Books Read In 2017
- Day Twelve: WinterWonderWichteln Reveal (this is a freebie for you guys!)
I figured I would quickly explain what WinderWonderWichteln is because you guys probably haven’t heard about it before. It’s basically a gift exchange organized by two German bloggers were we were each assigned a person to create a little Christmas present for. Each person gets a book and at least two other goodies in their package. I am so excited to see what I’ll be getting and thought I’d share it on the blog on the final day of Blogmas!
So, to recap: I’ll start posting Day One on December 2nd and then on the 4th, 6th and so forth! I’d absolutely loved it if you guys joined in on the fun and shared your posts via pingbacks so we can all read and supoort each other’s posts!
Do any of you guys love the seasonal content on the platforms you use? Be it Halloween or Christmas! And do you do that kind of content on your own blogs/Instagram accounts? If so, are any of you guys going to join me for 12 Days Of Blogmas? Let me know in the comments below!

I wish I read enough to do this! I am always writing it seems so much that I don’t have the time to read a good book.

LOL. I can relate so much to this! I find it so hard to do tags/memes/challenges sometimes for that same reason.

I still struggle to do memes/tags/etc even though I’d say I’ve read a good amount of books over the years but my brain just ALWAYS goes back to the exact same books over and over again! xD

You could adapt the topics to fit your past reading year or change up topics you can’t fill with enough books and maybe even include tv shows or movies! 🙂

OH what a fun event, I love all of the prompts. I wish I could have 10 more hours each day to be able to participate, ahah. Will be looking forward to your posts 🙂

Thank you, I’m happy to read that you’re looking forward to my posts! 😀 Yeah, I have no idea how I’d be able to blog as much if my circumstances were different so I totally understand that you can’t join! But I’ll be looking forward to your comments – you can share your books that way too. 😀

12 days of blogmas? I truly have been blessed and cannot wait to read your posts 😍 🎄 I would love to join you with a few of these posts, as I am planning to talk about my Top Reads and Disappointing Books, even though I will do so towards the end of the month. I’ll probably also talk about Books I would love to find under the Christmas Tree as a part of sharing my Christmas Wishlist 🎄 I kind of want to do all of your prompts, but there is not enought time with what I have already planned 😱 But I am so so excited to read your posts aahh 💕

Awww, that is so absolutely sweet of you to say, Caro! I’m really happy that you’re excited about what is yet to come this month and please do join with however many posts you can do – there’s no need to do them all, obviously! I can’t wait to see which books you loved and which disappointed you this year! I always find that SO interesting!

I am going to try to do a few of them, and I have the feeling that some prompts could really work for me 🎄 Oh yes I love seeing what everyone has loved and been disappointed by 😮

I’m so excited to have you join me, Siobhan! I can’t wait to see what books you’ll be talking about! Make sure to pingback to me so I don’t miss anything – I tend to be an unorganized mess.

Just to make sure, is a pingback when I tag you in the post? I’ve never heard that term before haha

A pingback is when you link to a specific post – that way I get the notification too and it’ll show up in the post too and others can find your post too! So, instead of just linking to https://thecaffeinatedbookwormlife.wordpress.com/ you’d be linking to https://thecaffeinatedbookwormlife.wordpress.com/2017/11/30/announcing-12-days-of-blogmas/ in your own post. I hope that makes sense!

Oh Swetlana, this is such a lovely idea! I absolutely love Vlogmas and while I don’t think I’d manage to post every single day (or even every two or three days), I am definitely going to pick up a few of these topics and try to write posts for the month of December! I can’t wait for your posts and see what you will have to say about these prompts ❤

Thank you, Jackie! I’m happy to hear that people seem to be really excited about this series of posts and I’ve definitely been enjoying writing them! I hope you’ll be able to join at least a few – I can’t wait to see what you’ve got in store for us either way! 🙂

Ahh this is such a fun idea! ❤ I always love the idea of vlogmas, so I'm definitely participating in this blogmas! However, I think I'm missing the first two days so I think I'm going to post sporadically to play catch up with the rest of the prompts. Really amazing idea! Also, can I use your graphics for the blogmas? 🙂

Day two only went up today, so you’re not too far behind just yet and catching up should be relatively easy! I’m really excited to have you on board, Tasya!
Yes, please feel free to use the graphics as long as you make sure they were made by me as part of blogmas. 🙂 And make sure to pingback so I can include your posts in my wrap-ups as I did on my most recent blogmas post. 🙂

This sounds so fun! Will definitely have to participate in at least some of the days. And I like that it’s spread out, makes it so much more manageable.

I really hope you do join in Lindsey! And if you do, make sure to pingback to either the corresponding prompt or the original post so I can give your post(s) a shout out too! 🙂
Yeah, I don’t think I would’ve been able to do it 12 days straight! It would have been too overwhelming for sure!

I just found this and I’m super psyched for doing this! (I’m probably not going to do one or two of these days, mostly because there are one or two prompts that I just don’t relate to, to be honest.)

That’s okay, Rafaela! You can do as many or as few as you want to! 🙂 Please do remember to pingback to me so I can give your posts a shout out to! 🙂

I am so excited about Blogmas! But I’m not going to do the prompts on that list. Instead, I’ve been doing my own themed content that I came up with, and each day will be a surprise. It’s been super fun to do, and I’m glad I found out you’re participating too!! Happy Blogmas!!
