I recently saw Kayla from booksandlala over on YouTube bring her husband in for a video where he answered a bunch of bookish questions with what he thought her answers would be. The video was so much fun to watch and I figured it might be fun to get my sister on board for this and have her answer for me.
My sister and I live in separate flats and we don’t really talk about my reading that much and she isn’t much of a reader herself (I mean, there also isn’t much time with three kids) so this should be quite interesting. However, I did give her a few tips here and there – especially with questions she wouldn’t know what they’d mean.
But now, let’s get into this. π

Here are the questions she’ll be answering and the books I had picked as answers:

As for my sister’s answers, before we get to the images: her’s is always the first cover shown and mine aka the answer is the second one. π
Longest Completed Series

βοΈ This was a question I helped my sister with by giving her the hint that Goodreads lets you know which books are part of the same series and which book in the series they are. Unfortunately, I also kind of messed this up and she picked the last book in the series for this at first. xD But I changed it to Throne Of Glass with her because it was my mistake.
Most Read Author

βοΈ Again, this was something where I gave my sister a hint as to what Goodreads can do for you after which she picked Cassandra Clare which is definitely the correct answer here. She’s hands down and probably by far my most read author!
Favorite Cover

β I mean, I’m not disappointed with her answer for this question but as we can see it’s not the right one. To me, Furthermore is probably one of the most beautiful covers out there. Just look at the beauty of it.
Least Favorite Cover

β I am getting ready to run and hide from people for my answer here but my sister picked The Upside Of Unrequited as her answer and actually also mentioned Furthermore as a possibility for this answer. Can you believe. Personally, I’m just really not a big fan of the old school Harry Potter covers.
First Ever ARC

β Can you imagine if I’d ever gotten a Tahereh Mafi ARC? That would’ve been insanely awesome! But nope, my first ever ARC was actually Becky’s The Upside Of Unrequited which is still a pretty awesome author to get an ARC of!
OTP

βοΈ This was definitely an easier answer for her as we’ve been watching the Shadowhunters TV show together and I basically don’t shut up about how much I adore Malec! I mean, yeah I have a ton more couples I adore and will fight you on but I was feeling Malec when I wrote down these answers. π
Favorite Book

βοΈ Again, there were multiple books that could’ve fit into this category and the fact that I had to narrow it down to just one was bad enough. xD With a bit of help from me (aka me telling her that I’d probably have read my favorite book multiple times) my sister picked A Court Of Mist And Fury for this and was obviously right. I adore this book with everything I’ve got and it’s probably at least Top 3 favorite SJM books!
Read Most Times

β Since my sister had picked Six Of Crows for another answer, it no longer showed up as the most read book on the Goodreads shelf I created for this post but Shadow And Bone did (which I’ve read twice) so she went for that one – I mean, the author is right and it’s the same universe so it’s not that far off.
Push Most People To Read

β I feel like, overall in my blogging career, the book I’ve pushed the most people to read is definitely Ace Of Shades! I mean, I started talking about this book months before it came out and I haven’t shut up about it ever since! But, Children Of Blood And Bone is also a great book – it just wasn’t the answer for this question.
Most Recently Finished

βοΈ This answer wasn’t even up to date anymore when we did this quiz but it was when I wrote my answers, so we’re going with it! I adored this book and haven’t shut up about it to Caro and Sandra ever since I finished it. xD
Favorite Book Of 2018

β I definitely had a number of books that would’ve fit in here but they also worked better for other questions, so I went with Children Of Blood And Bone for my answer. My sister was down to Ace Of Shades and COBAB when she answered this and she went with Ace here!
Favorite Author

β My sister didn’t answer these all in the order they appear here, especially towards the end, and Harry Potter ended up being one of the last books she had to sort somewhere, she put it here. I can’t really say whether or not JK Rowling would be a favorite author as I’ve only read the first Harry Potter book. My answer was Leigh Bardugo though there could’ve been other answers too that wouldn’t have been wrong.
Made Me Cry The Most

βοΈ Reading Kingdom Of Ash was basically one big cry fest for me so yeah, trying to figure out the answer for this was one of the easiest ones for sure! xD When I was reading my sister some of the questions once I got to around here is when I realized that I had messed up with the book I had taken for the first question. xD
Most Want To Read

βοΈ Out of my quite limited Goodreads TBR (find out more about that here) it wasn’t really that difficult to guess the correct answer and my sister definitely got it! Plus, Caro always raves about this book and so do a number of other people so I need to know what this book is all about already!

To make sure that I wouldn’t sway in my answers in any kind of way, I wrote them all down on my notes app on my phone and then asked my sister all the questions above. It’s definitely interesting to see what she thought my answers were.

Have you guys ever made someone else answer questions about your bookish life? If so, how did it go?
What were some books that have made you guys cry recently? Or what are some books you constantly push on other people so they read them too? Your favorite author? 2018 highlight? Let me know in the comments down below! I can’t wait to hear about you guys’ answers! π

This is so fun! Your sister did well. I do not think anyone in my life would even know where to begin with these questions.

She definitely did! I don’t think I expected her to do as well because we don’t really talk about my reading much or at all. xD

This is such a cute idea! I’m surprised your sister was able to guess a lot of them right β my little sister wouldn’t know anything! π

I was pretty surprised too, not gonna lie! Especially since we live in different places and my reading doesn’t really come up that much.

This was such a cute post! I don’t know if I have anyone that I could do this with because I mention all of these things so often that if someone got it wrong I’d be very disappointed that they haven’t been listening to my ranting and raving all this time. I think my longest completed series is the Animorphs series, with over 50 books in it!

Oh, but I think you should do this at some point! I bet it’ll be super fun even if the person doesn’t know all the answers! π

This was such a fun post!! I love these types of posts, when family members get involved as well π Well your sister did pretty well, given the circumstances, so we can give her a gold star π I also highly approve of you wanting to read Renegades as always π

I think I’d love to do this with my best friend who isn’t big reader and find out what she thinks my answers would be! π
Very interesting post. I liked seeing how she got some right and some not. I guess she knows you pretty well (:
