For the past two months, I had a bit of a difficult time finding new releases I was really excited about and then May rolls around and I have seven on my list. Seven books. Someone, please tell me when I’m going to read all of them? Well, I actually read one of them already and I have plans to lock myself inside until I finished reading two more. But the other four books? I have no idea. There’s not enough time. But enough rambling, let’s get to these new releases!
Releasing: Week Of May 2nd
A Court Of Wings And Ruin by Sarah J. Maas
I have been waiting for A Court Of Wings And Ruin for a YEAR now and I am so excited that it’s finally almost here! The ending of A Court Of Mist And Fury was so good and I was ready to rip heads off! I am honestly so excited for this final installment in the trilogy! But I am also super worried about my own sanity while reading this book!
Always And Forever, Lara Jean by Jenny Han
I have heard so many good things about the To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before trilogy by Jenny Han and the final installment, Always And Forever, Lara Jean is coming out next week! There is apparently a fake relationship somewhere in this trilogy which has me really curious and I hope to marathon this trilogy this summer!
Releasing: Week Of May 16th
The Love Interest by Cale Dietrich
You guys! The Love Interest tells the story of a Good Guy and a Bad Guy who are supposed to woo a woman but instead of wooing HER they end up falling in love with each other? Doesn’t that sound like the most fun concept to a book? I know I am excited to see these two realize that they are developing feelings for each other and falling in love!
The Names They Gave Us by Emery Lord
I was lucky enough to be accepted for an eARC of The Names They Gave Us a couple of weeks ago and I have to say, I really enjoyed this book! At first, I was a bit worried that the religious aspects of the story would bother me because I am not a fan of religion in books but I ended up not minding it at all! I am going to be publishing my review of this book towards the end of May and closer to the UK release date!
Flame In The Mist by Renee Ahdieh
Renee Ahdieh’s newest release, Flame In The Mist, is also coming out this week and even though I haven’t read Renee’s previous two books (The Wrath & The Dawn duology) I am really excited about this one because I have read nothing but great things about Renee’s writing so far and I definitely want to experience it for myself too! For any Mulan fans out there, this is a Mulan retelling so get your hands on this!
Releasing: Week of May 23rd
Lord Of Shadows by Cassandra Clare
This is the only other book that I have concrete plans for reading! Cassandra Clare killed me with the ending of Lady Midnight and so I have been just impatiently waiting for Lord Of Shadows to finally be released! And it’s almost here! I am counting down the days and hopefully, I will be re-reading Lady Midnight in the weeks leading up to this release! I just hope my pre-order arrives on time!
Releasing: Week of May 30th
When Dimple Met Rishi by Sandhya Menon
I feel like I have been seeing When Dimple Met Rishi pretty much everywhere in the book community and people who have read this book seem to absolutely love it and are so excited about this story which has me really excited too! I haven’t read a book about an arranged marriage before so this is new to me and this book features Indian-American characters at a summer camp for aspiring web developers! So cool!
Honestly, you guys! May is looking like such a great month for releases and I know I won’t have much time for anything else because I will dive into ACOWAR, Lord Of Shadows and of course, Sense8 has to release season 2 the first week of May too. Like I wasn’t busy enough already!
What are some books you guys are super excited about for May? Let me know in the comments below! Did I miss out on any super fun new releases?
All these books are so exciting!! I couldn’t be more excited for them all to release.

XDD I’M LIKE A NATURAL ALL-CAPS TALKER (online). XD After I sent the comment, I was like, “Is this professional enough???” And then I was like, “Nah, who cares.”

Dude, the only time I’ll ever expect ‘professional’ is in a blog post – comments are were the party is at! I also feel like it shows a lot more personality that way!

I should probably start hoping that my pre-order arrives on time because what am I going to do if it doesn’t??? How am I supposed to avoid all those spoilers that are probably going to be ALL over book related social media?
If you need to start a different trilogy or series at any point, may I suggest The Infernal Devices? It is hands down one of my favorites and I basically want everyone to read it!

OMG FLAME IN THE MIST I AM DYING FOR IT. I am way too excited about that one. I’m ready to rush the mailman even though I have a couple of weeks to wait still!! π The Love Interest sounds absolutely hilarious and just fantastically amazing. Such an interesting premise! Also, When Dimple Met Rishi just sounds absolutely fracken fluffy and adorable and some good diversity rep thrown in there. Sign me up.
I still need to read ACOMAF ahhhhhh I’m behind.
